Lynk & Co Car Managing Mobile App

Lynk & Co
During my freelance tenure at Landor & Fitch HK in 2017, I had the opportunity to contribute to the design of the Lynk & Co mobile application, a cutting-edge platform designed to enhance the customer experience for this innovative automotive brand. My primary responsibility was to develop the user interface, ensuring a seamless and engaging interaction for users.

In collaboration with the UX team in London and the development team in China, I focused on crafting a visually appealing and intuitive UI that supports a variety of functionalities.

The app serves as a hub for Lynk & Co enthusiasts, offering features such as real-time updates and events, streamlined car service and maintenance booking, convenient test drive scheduling, accessory ordering, and personalized profile linking.
By integrating these elements, the Lynk & Co app not only provides essential services but also fosters a deeper connection between the brand and its users. This project exemplifies my ability to bridge design with functionality, creating an effective and user-centered digital experience.

UI Design, Wireframe Review and Communication

I was tasked with the major work of designing the user interface, translating wireframes provided by the UX team in London into a visually engaging and functional mobile app experience. â€‹

To ensure clarity and alignment, I meticulously reviewed the wireframes from the London team. My role involved identifying and addressing any potential miscommunications between the London team and the clients in China. This required a keen eye for detail and proactive communication to resolve discrepancies and align the design with the client's needs.

While building the UI, I paid close attention to the feasibility and completeness of the original wireframes. I assessed whether the wireframes could be practically implemented and made necessary amendments to enhance their usability and effectiveness. This iterative process ensured that the final design was both functional and aligned with the project’s goals.

Prototyping

I was responsible for preparing presentation materials and prototyping to effectively communicate the UI design to stakeholders. This aspect of my role was crucial for ensuring clarity and facilitating client reviews.

I developed interactive prototypes using InVision to showcase the UI design and user flows. Given the complexity of the application, which involved multiple sections and intricate user interactions, these prototypes provided a tangible and navigable representation of the final product.

I prepared a presentation board that offered a quick overview of each page and its associated user flow. This visual summary was designed to streamline the review process for clients, presenting a clear and organized view of the application’s structure and key interactions.

Design Guidelines Creation

In the next phase of the Lynk & Co mobile application project, I took on the critical responsibility of developing comprehensive design guidelines. This task was essential for ensuring a smooth transition from design to development.

I crafted detailed documentation to serve as a reference for the development team. These guidelines encompassed design specifications, including color schemes, typography, spacing, and interactive elements, ensuring that every aspect of the UI was clearly defined.
